At The Track : Rillito Downs Park Racetrack is a five-eighths mile race track in Tucson, Arizona. A recently remodeled track, it offers Quarterhorse, Thoroughbred and on occasion, even Arabian horse racing. This famous track was also the birthplace of many racing innovations that are still in use today. Rillito Park's racing season lasts from January to March, with a live racing schedule on Saturdays and Sundays. The property has two restaurants, grandstand, barns, training area, special events, soccer/multi-use fields, picnic areas, ramadas, restrooms, and drinking water. All with a beautiful mountain foothills back drop.

Rodeo : The first La Fiesta de los Vaqueros (Celebration of the Cowboys) in 1925 touted four days of events and competition. Today, the event has grown to a nine-day celebration centered on the Tucson Rodeo, one of the top 20 professional rodeos in North America. Current and former Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) world champions are featured in each Tucson Rodeo. The entry list for Tucson could be the ‘Who’s Who’ of pro rodeo. In addition to the caliber of competition and the prize money, cowboys look forward to Tucson because the fans are great and the sky is blue. This is the first major outdoor rodeo of the year, so they’re ready for sunshine, fresh air and 11,000 fans cheering them on.

Nascar 2007 PIR : Today, Phoenix International Raceway has a tradition that is unmatched in the world of racing. Armed with a rich history of many forms of racing, PIR now counts its two NASCAR weekends as hallmark events. The annual fall NASCAR weekend -- now in its 20th year and including races in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series, the NASCAR Busch Series, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, and USAC -- is one of the biggest events in the entire state. In 2005, PIR added a second race weekend -- in April -- to its schedule, and fans have come to enjoy NASCAR's spring visit to the desert just the same.
